At Holiman Hounds, we believe dogs deserve the same wholesome, thoughtfully made food we feed ourselves. What started as a passion for baking nutritious treats for our own pups grew into a mission to share that same tail-wagging joy with other dogs across Colorado.
Every recipe is crafted in small batches using simple, real ingredients — no fillers, no shortcuts, and never anything we wouldn’t give to our own dogs. From single-ingredient bites to seasonal goodies and nourishing paw care, all of our products are made by hand with love, right here in Delta, Colorado. At Holiman Hounds, we see dogs as valued family members and we want every product we present to reflect that. We want every dog to feel cherished each time they taste our treats.

Do you ship outside of Colorado?
Unfortunately, at this time we are only able to sell and ship within the state of Colorado. This is due to the licensing and regulation requirements of pet treats in each state.
How are your treats preservative free? How do I store them and are they shelf stable?
Our treats are free of all artificial ingredients--which means zero artificial preservatives. Our treats stay fresh by dehydration or freeze drying. Both methods create a shelf stable treat that lasts. Store your treats in their original packaging (make sure the bag is resealed!) and keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A pantry or countertop is a great place to store them. Do not refrigerate or freeze any treats unless specified on the packaging.
How long do your treats last?
Once opened, our treats taste best if used within 30 days--but your dog might eat them up sooner! We recommend storing the treats resealed in their original packaging and keeping them at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Unopened packages are best when used within a year of manufacture date.

What are the textures of your treats? Are they suitable for small dogs or dogs with sensitive teeth who have a hard time chewing hard bones?
Our biscuit treats are baked and dehydrated until they snap like a traditional dog biscuit you would find at the store. If your dog has a difficult time eating crunchy treats, our freeze-dried treats are a soft-crunch texture that soften with moisture for a perfect melt-in-your-mouth treat. Freeze dried treats would be better suited for small dogs and dogs who have sensitivities while chewing.
My dog has a health condition or dietary restriction. What do you suggest?
We always recommend for you check with your vet and see how our treats align with your dog's dietary needs. We provide ingredient lists and guaranteed analysis on all of our treats that can help your vet decide if our treats are right for your dog. This information is available both on the physical packaging as well as the online listing for each item.
